=========================================================

Do you enjoy reading blogs?  What a wealth of topics and ideas we can find!  Do you write your own, and do you ever run short of blog ideas?  Here’s help:

Since 2007, I’ve been blogging mainly on my own thoughts about managing my band and entertaining at weddings and parties. That’s what I’m most passionate about, and you’d think I’d never run out of blog ideas to write about.

But occasionally the inspiration well runs low, and I turn to a few easy tips for generating ideas. One such tip is my new habit of writing every day.

Recently I wrote about how my daily journaling creates blog ideas. I’m still living each day same as always, but in addition, I’m now much more alert for all the new ideas that bubble up.

Now I consider whatever I notice, experience, and learn in terms of the nuggets of useful information it contains. Useful to me, my friends, and my colleagues. Each nugget is raw material for my next blog ideas.

Bottom line: Daily journaling creates ideas that make my blog a vehicle for learning, refining, and sharing useful information.

Don’t seem to have a need to hire a jazz band at the moment, Robbie, but I sure do love music! :-)

I discovered your post thanks to a Tweet my best online friend and fellow mompreneur, Michelle Shaeffer, posted.  I’ve participated in Michelle’s Ultimate Blog Challenge twice (so far) plus three other blog challenges, as well.  Let’s face it … I’m a blogging addict.

Not really sure if I’d call it “journaling”, but I do something similar to come up with blog post titles.

Any time I see an interesting or unusual line of copy (in a book, on a billboard, standing at the grocery store check out, on someone’s sales page, etc.) that catches my eye, I write it down.  I find blog post titles everywhere!

I’m the kind of quirky blogger who MUST firmly settle on a title first before I’m able to write word one of my posts. Oh, well.  There’s something to be said for “regimentation”. :)

Nicely done!  And I enjoyed your video clip.

Thanks Melanie,
Glad you enjoyed this post.  And I’m grateful that Michelle Tweeted about my blog.  I’m on her email list, but never managed to join one of her blogging challenges.  Probably will one of these days.  In the meantime, it sounds like you’re using a terrific method for finding blog ideas, and I’ll give it a shot first thing tomorrow.  Hmmmm… any interesting or unusual line of copy, eh?  Should be fun.  Thanks for the tip!

Robbie
